Welcome to TPT Bookstore. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our ebook subscription service. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

1. Service Description

TPT Bookstore offers two ways to access our premium ebook collection:

Subscription Service

Unlimited access to our entire library of ebooks through a recurring subscription. Subscribers can download ebooks for the duration of their active subscription.

Individual Book Purchases

One-time purchases of individual ebooks for permanent ownership. Purchased ebooks can be downloaded immediately and remain yours forever. We also provide links to purchase physical paperbacks through external retailers.

2. User Accounts

Account Registration

To use our service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You may not share your account credentials with others

3A. Subscription Service Terms

Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans with different billing cycles (monthly, annual). Subscription fees are billed in advance and payment must be received first before access is granted.

Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through our payment partners
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for subscription fees
  • Payment attempts are made 2 weeks before due date, then 1 week before, then on the due date
  • If all payment attempts fail, your subscription is terminated
  • Price changes will be communicated with advance notice

Access Rights

During your active subscription, you can download ebooks from our library. Once downloaded, ebooks become your permanent possession and you can continue to enjoy them even after your subscription ends.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which access to new downloads will be terminated. Downloaded ebooks remain yours permanently.

3B. Direct Ebook Purchase Terms

DRM-Free Ownership

When you purchase ebooks directly from TPT Bookstore through our secure checkout, you receive DRM-free ebook files that become your permanent possession. These files can be read on any device that supports standard ebook formats (EPUB, PDF, etc.) without platform restrictions.

One-Time Purchase

Direct ebook purchases are one-time payments. Payment must be received before download access is granted.

File Format & Compatibility

You receive industry-standard ebook files that work with any compatible reading software or device. We do not impose artificial restrictions on how or where you use your purchased ebooks.

3C. Third-Party Retailer Purchase Terms

Platform-Specific Licenses

We provide links to external retailers (Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Play Books, etc.) for your convenience. These purchases are platform-specific licenses subject to each retailer's terms and conditions.

DRM Restrictions Apply

Ebooks purchased through third-party retailers typically include Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions that may limit:

  • Which devices you can read the ebook on
  • Which reading apps you can use
  • Your ability to transfer the ebook to other platforms
  • Long-term access if you lose access to the platform

Not Our Terms

Important: Purchases made through retailer links are governed by that retailer's terms of service, refund policies, and usage restrictions. TPT Bookstore is not responsible for these third-party transactions or their policies.

Physical Books

Links to physical paperbacks and hardcover books are also provided for convenience. These are standard retail purchases not covered by these Terms.

4A. Ebook Ownership Rights

Direct Purchase Ownership

When you buy ebooks directly from TPT Bookstore, you own them permanently. These are DRM-free files that you can:

  • Read on any device or reading app that supports standard ebook formats
  • Transfer between devices without restrictions
  • Keep forever, even if our service changes or ends
  • Lend to others or give away (though we ask you not to for copyright reasons)

Retailer Platform Licenses

When you buy through retailer links, you're purchasing a license, not ownership. These purchases come with platform restrictions:

  • May only work on specific devices or apps from that retailer
  • Cannot be easily transferred to other platforms
  • Access may be lost if you lose access to the retailer's ecosystem
  • Subject to the retailer's DRM policies and potential format changes

Important Distinction

Please choose carefully: Direct purchases from us give you true ownership. Retailer purchases give you platform-specific access that may not last forever. We provide retailer links for convenience, but we strongly recommend direct purchases for permanent, unrestricted ownership.

4B. Content Usage Rights

License Grant

During your active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and download ebooks from our library for personal, non-commercial use.

Usage Restrictions

You may not:

  • Share, distribute, or sell downloaded ebooks with any party
  • Reproduce ebooks except for personal use
  • Remove or alter copyright notices
  • Use ebooks for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Attempt to circumvent access restrictions

Copyright Violation: Sharing downloaded ebooks with any party breaks this agreement and infringes on copyright. We will terminate your access to our service for violations. Once you have the epub or pdf file, we cannot control what you do with it, but you can continue to enjoy the book.

Digital Rights Management

Our direct purchases are DRM-free. However, ebooks purchased through third-party retailers include Digital Rights Management (DRM) protections designed to prevent unauthorized copying and distribution. You agree not to attempt to remove or bypass DRM measures on retailer-purchased ebooks.

5. Refund Policy

Direct Purchases from TPT Bookstore

No refunds are possible once any ebooks have been downloaded from your account. This applies to both subscription services and direct individual book purchases. Once you have accessed the DRM-free files, all sales are final.

For subscription services, if you cancel before downloading any books, you may be eligible for a refund at our discretion. However, once any download occurs, all sales are final.

Third-Party Retailer Purchases

Refunds for purchases made through retailer links are subject to that retailer's refund policy. TPT Bookstore is not responsible for refunds, returns, or disputes related to third-party retailer purchases. You must contact the retailer directly for any refund requests.

Important Note

Please choose your purchase method carefully. Direct purchases from us are DRM-free and permanent, but non-refundable once downloaded. Retailer purchases may offer different refund terms but come with platform restrictions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content available through our service, including ebooks, website design, logos, and software, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. TPT Bookstore and our licensors retain all rights to this content.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

Service Continuity

While we strive to provide continuous access to our service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or temporary suspensions of service.

Content Changes

We reserve the right to add, remove, or modify ebooks in our library at any time without notice. We do not guarantee the continued availability of specific titles.

9. User Conduct

You agree to use our service responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws. Prohibited activities include:

  • Violating intellectual property rights
  • Sharing account credentials
  • Attempting to hack or compromise our systems
  • Using the service for illegal purposes
  • Harassing other users or our staff
  • Uploading malicious content or code

10. Termination

Termination by User

You may terminate your account at any time through your account dashboard.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these Terms or for other conduct that we determine to be harmful to our service or other users.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the service will cease immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable period, except as required for legal or tax purposes.

11. Disclaimers

Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or completeness of content
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Security of your data

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TPT Bookstore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TPT Bookstore harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
