Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TPT Books (“the Service”), operated by TPT Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in New Zealand. By purchasing, downloading, or accessing any content through TPT Books, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TPT Books is an online bookstore offering romantasy and fantasy romance titles as ebooks, paperbacks, and audiobooks. Digital products are delivered via license keys that unlock downloads. Physical products (paperbacks) are fulfilled by third-party print-on-demand providers. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time and will give reasonable notice of material changes.

3. Purchasing and License Keys

• Digital purchases (ebooks, audiobooks) are completed through third-party platforms including Gumroad and Stripe. You will receive a license key by email upon purchase.
• Each license key permits a maximum of 3 downloads of the associated file(s). Downloads are logged for security purposes.
• License keys are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, share, or distribute your license key.
• You may optionally link a license key to an account on books.tptsolutions.co.nz to manage your library and downloads in one place.

4. Digital Products — No Refunds

Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, digital goods that have been downloaded or accessed are generally not eligible for refund once delivery has occurred. Because we provide immediate access to digital files upon purchase, all sales of ebooks and audiobooks are final once a download has been initiated.

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing your purchased content, please contact us at support@books.tptsolutions.co.nz and we will work to resolve it.

Physical products (paperbacks) are subject to the refund and returns policy of the relevant print-on-demand provider.

5. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

All content available through TPT Books — including text, cover art, and audio — is protected by copyright and owned by the respective authors and rights holders. A purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read or listen to the content for your own private, non-commercial use only.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any purchased content.
• Share download files or license keys with others.
• Use purchased content for commercial purposes without written permission from the rights holder.
• Remove or circumvent any digital rights management or access controls.

6. Accounts

• An account is optional — you can download purchased content using only your license key.
• If you create an account, you must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Content Rating

TPT Books publishes romantasy and fantasy romance titles. Some titles contain mature content intended for adult readers aged 18 and over. Content ratings are displayed on each book's product page. By accessing TPT Books, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Circumvent download limits or license key validation.
• Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Third-Party Platforms

Purchases may be completed through third-party platforms such as Gumroad, Stripe, Amazon, or Apple Books. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. File formats and compatibility with specific devices or reading applications are not guaranteed; it is your responsibility to ensure compatibility before purchase.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TPT Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific purchase giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered account holders by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
